Psychiatry in 2007 and later joined the faculty at Azerbaijan Medical University and Baku Clinical Psychiatric Hospital. Her main area of research was Stress

Disorders among vulnerable populations in Azerbaijan, such as veterans of first war in Nagorno Karabakh, victims of terrorist attack in Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, victims of flood and earthquakes in regions of Azerbaijan and women with breast cancer. In 2015 Dr. Mammadzada received a Fogarty postdoctoral research fellowship at the Boston’s Children Hospital and Harvard School of Public Health which she successfully completed in 2017 and later defended her thesis and was awarded the title of Philosophy Doctor. At present time Dr. Mammadzada is doing a Master’s studies on Global Master of Public Health at Imperial College London and continues her scientific work. Dr. Mammadzada thinks that any innovation in healthcare system should be based on strong scientific evidence and that implementation of Public Health system in Azerbaijan will in short period of time satisfy main medical needs of Azerbaijani population.
