The Health and Science Initiatives is happy to announce a new course on “Methods in scientific research+SPSS” under the Scientific Research Support Center.
This course will cover the following topics:

  1. Present-day requirements for study conduct
  2. Main stages of a scientific study:
    1. Hypothesis forming
    2. Ethical approval
    3. Informed consent
    4. Main assessment tools
  3. Measures of disease frequency
  4. Risk factors analysis
  5. Study sample, qualitative and quantitative variables and principles of statistical analysis
  6. Study designs: cross-sectional, case-control, cohort studies, randomized clinical trials, meta-analysis
  7. Bias and confounding and how to avoid them
  8. Correlation and causation. Practice in SPSS
  9. Introduction to Pub-med search tools

The instructors of the course are experts of our Scientific Research Support Center.

This is an online course.
