Dissertant at the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS, as the head of the Laboratory of Human Genetics

Bayram Ilham oglu Bayramov graduated from Azerbaijan Medical University, Faculty of Medical Biology in 2013. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he successfully completed his master’s degree in Human Genetics at Ondokuz Mayis University in Turkey under the Ministry of Education’s “State Program for the Education of Azerbaijani Youth Abroad in 2007-2015.” During his studies, he gained knowledge in the fields of medical genetics, cytogenetics, epigenetics and molecular biology. He conducted research on “The role of DNA promoter methylation in bladder cancer.” Ondokuz Mayıs University Medical Faculty, March 28-29, 2015; ‘Gamet Eldesy and Micromanipulation Techniques (IVF, ICSI) Course’. Bayram has been working as a junior researcher at the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS since 2016. Bayramov, together with other colleagues, for the first time found one new mutation in patients diagnosed with thalassemia worldwide and two in Azerbaijan. In addition, he successfully conducts research on “Genetic and Epigenetic Characterization of Cancer Cells in Colonial Cancer.” He has practical knowledge and skills on DNA isolation, PCR, Hot-Start PCR, Real-Time PCR, MS-PCR, RFLP, agarose gel electrophoresis, methods of sexing various genes. Since 2018, he has been working as a Dissertant at the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS, as the head of the Laboratory of Human Genetics.
